2025 Reading List

This post is to share my reading list in 2025 consisting of 10 books. I will post an entry to this blog every time a finish a book in the list. I will provide a very short summary of the book outlining essential ideas or the plot.

But more importantly I would like to use this blog not as a simple book review site but to share my unstructured and rough ideas about a book. It is possible to find hundreds of great reviews about all these books so I think it’s best to take a more subjective approach and write about what the content I read incites in me. Even at the expense of being wrong or seeming stupid.

This list can change over time as I don’t want to read any book I find uninteresting or tedious. I will post another one of these entries whenever I make a change.

The List

  • A Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad

  • Dune by Frank Herbert

  • Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky

  • World Systems Analysis: An Introduction by Immanuel Wallerstein

  • I Am a Strange Loop by Douglas Hofstadter

  • The Sublime Object of Ideology by Slavoj Žižek

  • Debt by David Graeber

  • Seeing Like a State by James C. Scott

  • Hegel: A Very Short Introduction by David Singer

  • Kurt Kanunu by Kemal Tahir
